Right. Right. Except maybe my math professors were too busy pushing their liberal ideologies regarding algebraic topology to have much time for communism. And actually the economists I did talk with sounded rather pragmatic. Something about institutions not being evil, only people. And something about how instead of running around angrily making grand, simplistic pronouncements about how society should be organized we might try to focus on specific cases where our institutions fail to maximize social welfare and what incremental - i.e. less dangerous - reforms might overcome those problems, be they in business or government or education or whatever.
